Bekko is very similar to Utsuri. There are only black and another one background color on the body. The one has white background with black patterns (sumi), called Shiro Bekko; the red background one called Aka Bekko; and the rest one has yellow background, it called Ki Bekko.

It sounds very confused with Utsuri. Then, how to differentiate Bekko and Utsuri? Bekko in Japanese means ‘tortoise shell’. Koi Betta is a type of marble betta. Their striking patterns are generated by the transposon (jumping gene), that makes Koi Bettas have endless variety and changeability.

This is a low-profile delta tail Koi Betta. Not like the bright-colored Koi Betta, it is mixed with deeper color: burgundy, turquoise, and champagne. The pastel divides it into two parts, just like a fancy belt. Its head is burgundy with white marble pattern, meanwhile the turquoise cover its trailer and extend to the delta tail. The champagne flows in the water with the swing of the dorsal and pelvic fins.
